Germany will take on Ghana in an international friendly match on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart. The match is part of both countries’ preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

Ghana, led by Hamburg-born coach Otto Addo, qualified convincingly as group winners for the World Cup and will face England, Croatia, and Panama in Group L. Addo, a former Bundesliga professional and 15-time Ghana international, is looking forward to testing his team against one of the world’s top-ranked teams.

“We are very much looking forward to the clash with Otto’s team. Their strong transition play can give us a taste of what to expect in the World Cup group match against Ivory Coast,” said Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Otto Addo echoed Nagelsmann’s enthusiasm, saying, “This is an amazing opportunity for us to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world. Germany are a good side, and we can’t wait to face them in Stuttgart.”

The match will be the fourth meeting between Ghana and Germany, with Germany winning two and drawing one of the previous encounters. The last meeting was a 2-2 draw at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The match kicks off at 8:45 pm on Monday, March 30, 2026.
