Frank Akuffo Awuku, the 2019 PruRide champion, is determined to bounce back and reclaim his title in the upcoming championship.
Akuffo expressed his desire to win the prestigious event again, stating, “I’d love to win the PruRide again because I won the first edition. I’d love to win this time also, and that’s my main target.”
The 6th edition of the PruRide is set to take place on August 31, 2025, starting at Black Stars Square. The event will bring together top cyclists from across the nation, as well as young riders and veterans, persons with disabilities, and cycling enthusiasts.
Notably, this year’s competition will feature equal prize money for both male and female winners, with each receiving GH¢ 15,000.00. All participants will also receive a medal for their participation.
Akuffo’s determination and the exciting lineup of participants promise an thrilling event that will showcase the best of Ghana’s cycling talent.
