The Adjiringanor Astro turf is set to host the fourth edition of the groundbreaking “Education Through Sports” initiative, a program designed to empower young African talents through football and education.

The two-day event, scheduled for June 19-20, 2025, is a collaborative effort between the Miracle Africa International Foundation (MAIF), the Diaspora African Forum (DAF), and Ghana Premier League side Bechem United Football Club.
The initiative seeks to provide young people with access to education, sports training, and infrastructure that fosters personal development and community integration. Founded by Libyan-born philanthropist Nadia Murabet, MAIF is a Switzerland-based charity working across Africa to promote peace, stability, and democracy through culture, arts, and sports.
The “Education Through Sports” project has grown into a beacon of hope in underserved communities, using sport as a catalyst for development and inclusion. MAIF President Nadia Murabet emphasized, “Sport has the power to break social and ethnic barriers. With a ball, every child can dream, play, and grow.”

Bechem United FC, led by its Executive Chairman Kingsley Owusu-Achau, is contributing footballing expertise and drawing from its own history of youth empowerment.

The Diaspora African Forum, under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Erieka Bennett, is also central to the partnership, championing the reconnection of African descendants with the continent.

The program includes:- Construction of sports fields in villages- Specialized training for educators- Scholarships for promising young athletes
As Ghana hosts this fourth edition, the message is clear: sport is more than just a game—it’s a vehicle for change, a unifier of people, and a tool to inspire the next generation of African leaders.
