Mr Khaled Mhalhel, President of the Weightlifting Federation of Africa (WFA), has congratulated Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib on his re-election as President of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation.
In a statement issued and signed by Mr Mhalhel, he mentioned that he was pleased to hear about the re-election of Hon. Shaib as President of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation.
He said, “on behalf of myself, the Executive Board members and the WFA family, I avail this opportunity to extend our heartfelt congratulations to you and the entire elected Executive Board members.”
President Mhalhel wished President Shaib lots of success in his activities adding that “I am convinced that you will do your utmost best for the benefit of our sport in your country”.
President Jerry Ahmed Shaib was elected as President of the weightlifting federation on Friday, May 9, 2025, where he polled a 100 per cent votes cast to retain his seat as President.
Other elected members of the executive board include Mr Isaac Tetteh as Vice-President, Kenneth Odeng Adade as Secretary-General, Madam Edith Owusu Agyepong as Treasurer with Dr Christopher Akwesi Adomako, Prof. Jonathan Quartey and Mr Benjamin Addy as Board Members.
