FIFA Forward Program: GFA Hands Over Vehicles to 8 Regional FAs

The Ghana Football Association has taken a significant step in decentralizing football development by handing over eight Nissan Navara pickups to regional football associations across the country. As part of the FIFA Forward program, a flagship development project aimed at strengthening football globally, the vehicles will support the day-to-day activities of the beneficiary regions.

Beneficiary Regions:

  • Brong Ahafo Regional FA
  • Upper West Regional FA
  • Central Regional FA
  • Western Regional FA
  • Eastern Regional FA
  • Upper East Regional FA
  • Volta Regional FA
  • Ashanti Regional FA

The vehicles are expected to enhance efficiency and accessibility in these regions, aligning with the GFA’s vision to empower regional bodies. President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku expressed confidence in the impact of this initiative, highlighting the GFA’s commitment to promoting grassroots football.

Additionally, the Greater Accra Regional FA and Northern Regional FA are slated to receive vehicles in a subsequent phase of the FIFA Forward program. This development underscores the GFA’s efforts to ensure all regions contribute meaningfully to the national football agenda
