The Head of Mission at the Ghana High Commission in Pretoria, Mr. Japhet Ofosu Appiah, has urged President Charles Osei Asibey of the Armwrestling Federation of Africa and Ghana Armwrestling to engage the government to include sports in the Binational Corporation Agreement between Ghana and South Africa.

This move aims to strengthen bilateral relations and promote the development of sports, particularly arm wrestling, in both countries. By including sports in the agreement, the two nations can foster greater cooperation, exchange ideas, and create opportunities for athletes to compete at the highest level.

Mr. Ofosu Appiah has also congratulated the GAF and AFA president on the steady growth of arm wrestling and the recent success in the African Games.

President Osei Asibey will be the guest of honour at the 2025 National Armwrestling Championship of South Africa, scheduled to take place on April 4 and 5.
