The Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) has achieved a significant milestone with the certification of Mr. William Berekorang Asare as an International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Competition Manager. Asare, who serves as the treasurer of the GTTA, successfully completed the ITTF regional competition manager exams on December 21, 2024.
The certification exam, conducted and monitored by Omar Refaat Bassyouni of the International Table Tennis Developmental Department, is a testament to Asare’s dedication and expertise in the sport. With his new certification, Asare joins an elite group of professionals who have demonstrated the skills and knowledge required to manage international table tennis competitions.
Asare’s journey to becoming a certified ITTF Competition Manager is a remarkable one. A former player, he has progressed through the ranks, leveraging his experience and passion for the sport to achieve this prestigious certification. During the 2023 African Games, he served as the deputy Competition Manager and he made mother Ghana proud by exhibiting exceptional professionalism.
His role in the Ghana Table Tennis Federation has been evident over the years, and this achievement further underscores his commitment to promoting and developing table tennis in Ghana.
