Ghana Water Polo Season Kicks Off January 18

The Ghana water polo fraternity is gearing up for their first activity of the year as the organisers, Black Star Polo, are set to host their annual event at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate Poolside on January 18, 2025. 

The organisers are aiming to promote, groom, and develop athletes as they target Ghana’s representation at the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028. 

Awutu Winton Senior High School The defending champions will face competition from Accra Art Centre, KNUST CLUB, Lake BOSOMTWE Club, and the Awutu Winton Senior High B club. 

As has been practiced by the organisers in the past, there will be opportunities opened to the young ones who are first-timers to be trained as side attractions. 

There will be medals and certificates for outstanding performances and winners. 

 Mr. Tony Tonka Karaman from the US has been brought down to hold a series of water polo & referee clinics ahead of the 4th Annual Water Polo Season at the University of Ghana.

BURMA CAMP 5-8 pm
5-6 Theory
6-8 Pool 

THURSDAY: 
Awutu Winton Senior High School
3-5 Classroom 
6 PM Pool

FRIDAY:
UG LEGON 4-7 PM

The event is open to individuals and groups who want to practice water polo.
