Ghana Skate proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Johnson Kwaku Gameli Kportufe as the new Director of Communications for World Skate Africa. This appointment, made by the President of World Skate Africa, aligns with the Statutes of World Skate and follows the Ordinary and Elective Congress held in Rome, Italy, on September 7, 2024.

In his new role, Mr. Kportufe will be responsible for promoting the mission and values of World Skate Africa, fostering effective communication among member nations, and enhancing the visibility of skateboarding and roller sports across the African continent. His vast expertise and multilingual abilities in English and French uniquely position him to drive impactful change in the communications department.

In addition to this prestigious role, Mr. Kportufe has been appointed as a member of the Executive Committee of World Skate Africa. His responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with the Statutes of World Skate, as he contributes to the strategic direction and growth of roller sports in Africa.

The President of World Skate Africa described the appointment as a pivotal moment for the federation, noting Mr. Kportufe’s potential to significantly elevate the profile of skateboarding and other disciplines on the continent.
