Functional Sports League Ghana is to host two days of intense contests and inspire athleticism at the National Championship dubbed Iron Forge, which takes place on Saturday, 23rd November 2024, at Zulka Astroturf Park Dansoman and Sunday, 24th November 2024, at Idrowhyt Event Centre Akokofoto Dansoman. At 4 pm each evening.
This inaugural event will feature athletes from Greater Accra, Ashanti, Bono, Central, Western, and Eastern Regions battling it out in a series of demanding challenges designed to test their capacities across a broad range of physical abilities.
Charles Owusu-Ansah, President of the Functional Sports League Ghana, explained further that athletes will be required to go through the six test routines, namely Endurance, Strength, Bodyweight, Power, Mixed, and Skill, in a unique and challenging workout routine that demonstrates the full spectrum of functional fitness.
