The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with Betpawa, has officially commissioned the Betpawa AstroTurf at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence. This event took place during the GFA’s 30th Ordinary Congress.
The project, which began in August 2022, saw the GFA and Betpawa break ground for the construction of this modern football facility. During the commissioning ceremony, GFA President Kurt Okraku expressed his gratitude to Betpawa for their significant investment in the sport.
“What we see today is a confirmation of the genuine commitment and leadership Betpawa has shown to the football fraternity, which will help us produce more golden players,” Okraku remarked.
He added, “We are extremely excited about Betpawa’s continuous support, and we believe that this is just the beginning of many more plans that Betpawa has for us, which will be revealed during the main Congress.”
Following the commissioning, a football match was held between GFA executives and some GFA staff, officiated by beneficiaries of the “Catch them Young Referees” initiative, a program introduced by the current administration.
