The Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be ready for the Black Stars game against Angola on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, according to Seth Panwun, the National Sports Authority board chairman.

In an interview with Karl Tuffour at GTV Sports+, Panwun expressed his confidence, stating he is “200% sure” the stadium will be prepared for the AFCON 2025 qualifier.

Panwun assured that the necessary efforts are being made to get the pitch ready, saying “all hands are on deck” to ensure its completion.

He emphasised that the National Sports Authority does not decide the venue for national team games, as long as the chosen stadium meets CAF’s standard requirements.
