Egypt Advances to Quarterfinals in Olympic Men’s Handball

African representative Egypt has secured a place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Paris Olympic Games men’s handball competition after a 34-27 victory over Argentina. 

Ranked 8th in the world, Egypt will face off against world number 5 and Olympic Power 5th Spain on August 7th at the Expo Porte de Versailles. After finishing fourth at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Egypt aims to surpass their back-to-back quarter-final appearances in the IHF Men’s World Championship and make a significant impact at the Olympics.

In other quarter-final matchups, host nation France will take on Germany, Norway will compete against Slovenia, and Denmark will battle Sweden.
