Ghana will be represented by nine athletes at the Paris Olympic Games

Ghana’s Olympic team will feature athletes from track and field and swimming events at the Paris 2024 Games.

The team includes:

  • Benjamin Azamati (Athletics)
  • Abdul-Rasheed Saminu (Athletics)
  • Joseph Paul Amoah (Athletics)
  • Isaac Botsio (Athletics)
  • Fuseini Ibrahim (Athletics)
  • Rose Yeboah (Athletics)
  • Joselle Mensah (Swimming)
  • Harry Stacey (Swimming)

Benjamin Azamati and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu have secured spots at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games through the World Athletics Ranking System, which ended on June 30. Azamati, a Tokyo 2020 veteran, will be competing in his second Olympics, while Saminu will make his Olympic debut in the 200m event, having met the entry standard.

Edwin Gadayi, the 2024 GNPC Fastest Human, will join forces with Joseph Paul Amoah, the 200m African Games Gold Medalist, Fuseini Ibrahim, Benjamin Azamati, and Isaac Botsio to compete in the 4x100m relay event.

Ghana’s swimming team will feature Joselle Mensah in the 50m freestyle and Harry Stacey in the 100m freestyle events.

The track and field events at the Paris Olympic Games are scheduled for August 1-11, 2024. Meanwhile, Team Ghana will depart for Strasbourg on July 7 for an intensive two-week training camp before relocating to the Olympic Village in Paris later that month.
