FC Samartex defender and former Hearts of Oak player James Sewornu said he was disturbed by the condition of his former club and their position, and he wished they were the last team Hearts of Oak were playing against. He claimed they would have helped Hearts of Oak survive relegation.
In an interview with Filla TV, Sewornu said: “I felt sorry for them considering their position in the table, it wasn’t good for me, but that’s the reality. If we had been scheduled to play them in the final game, we would have helped them. We would have helped them survive”.
James Serwonu has won two Premier League titles, one with Hearts of Oak and one with FC Samartex.
